You can specify whether borrowers can place a booking for a title or equipment they already have on loan using the parameter Check existing loans for bookings. This parameter can be set in three places:

Yes | Yes | Yes | No. The BKGONLOAN alert is displayed when a borrower tries to book a title or equipment he or she already has on loan under the selected policy. Staff members can override the alert if they have a high enough privilege level. The transaction would typically be blocked in OPAC by setting Block transaction in OPAC to Yes for the BKGONLOAN alert. |
To set Check existing loans for bookings in the general parameters:
Null means the same as No. |
To set Check existing loans for bookings in the borrower category:
Null means the same as No. |
