You can specify whether a generic user is prompted for additional staff credentials when they try to pay or waive a charge, or when they select the ad hoc charges option. To do this:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set Prompt generic staff for credentials on payment/waive/ad hoc charges to Yes or No.

   No	Normal staff privilege validation is applied.
   Yes	Generic staff will be prompted for additional staff credentials. Normal staff privilege validation applies to non-generic staff.

3. Click Save or Save & Close.

Null means the same as No.
