Waive or write-off charges in bulk

You can use the Bulk Update Charges/Fines option to waive or write-off multiple charges at one time.

From the Module Menu select Circulation, Other and then Bulk Update Charges/FInes. This opens an in-app browser at the Charges Search page. Use the options on this page to search and find the charges you want, e.g. you might search for the incomplete charges for one borrower.
Select the records you want, for example:
- Click Select Set to select all the records in the set, OR
- Click the checkbox next to the records you want, and then click Select Records.
Set the action, add a waive reason if you wish, and then click OK.
Click Yes at the confirmation prompt. This starts a task to update the charges. You can click the here link to see details of the task.

You can only waive or write-off incomplete charges that have Allow bulk update set to Yes.

You can't waive or write-off credits or overdue fines for items still on loan.
