Allow item status to be set/removed manually

To specify whether a particular item status can be set or removed manually:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Item Status.
Select the status you want from the list.
Set Allow manual removal or Allow manual setting to Yes or No.
Click Save or Save & Close.

Some status codes are automatically set and removed in accordance with library-defined parameters while others are specifically referenced by Spydus programs.

Null means the same as No.

Remember that the codes you can set or remove will depend on any status codes already set against the item. For example, you can only set the lost status against an item if it's currently on loan.

Allow manual removal and Allow manual setting should both be set to No for the Indefinite loan status.

The Long overdue status LO cannot be manually removed.
