Allow or block issues for item status

To specify whether items with a particular status can be issued:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Item Status.
Select the status you want from the list.
Set Allow issues to Yes or No.
Click Save or Save & Close.

If Allow issues is No and you try to issue an item with the selected status then the ITMSTATUSNOISSUE alert will be displayed.

If Allow issues is No then you’d typically set Display alert at issue to No. If Allow issues is No and Display alert at issue is Yes then both the ITMSTATUSNOISSUE and ITMSTATUS alerts will be displayed.

Null means the same as No.

Allow issues also controls whether booked items can be checked out.
