To specify whether items with a particular status can be returned:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Item Status.
2. Select the status you want from the list.
3. Set Allow returns to Yes or No.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.

If Block returns is Yes and you try to return an item with the selected status then the ITMSTATUSNRT alert will be displayed.

If Block returns is Yes then you’d typically set Display alert at return to No. If Block returns to Yes and Display alert at return is Yes then both ITMSTATUSNRT and ITMSTATUS will be displayed

If Block returns is Yes then you'll need to edit the item to remove the status to enable the item to be returned.

Null means the same as No.
