This is where you add any borrowers who wish to reserve an item before it’s been ordered.
You can specify whether or not reservations can be added in the order details using Allow reservations in order details.
You can only place reservations against an order with a "Pending" status. Once the order has been confirmed, you would place a reservation via Staff Enquiry or Circulation.
While the order is pending, you’ll see a link to the reservations at the order level but not the title level. You can see this if you look at the order details and the title details through Staff Enquiry. You’ll only see a link to reservations at the title level once the order has been confirmed.
You can’t place reservations against a subscription, standing order or blanket order.
A reservation is automatically created for a purchase request when it has a requestor’s name.
To add a new reservation, click Add. Scan or type the borrower's barcode in the ID field. If you don't have the borrower's barcode, click Link, find the borrower and click Select Record. The Name field will be populated automatically.
To edit an existing reservation, click the row and then click Edit. Or simply double-click the row.
To delete an existing reservation, click the row and then click Delete.
