To specify whether reservations are cancelled automatically when a status is set against an item:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Item Status.
2. Select the status you want from the list.
3. Set Cancel reservations automatically to Yes or No.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.

If Cancel reservations automatically is Yes:

• An alert will be displayed when the status is applied.
• Only reservations at the item level will be cancelled. Reservations at the title or location level will not be cancelled.
• An allocated reservation for the item will be deallocated.

Null means the same as No.
