The Reservation no show borrower trap is applied to a borrower who doesn't pick up an allocated item. The trap is applied after the Borrower no show borrower trap suspended period. For example, if you set the suspended period to 3 days and the borrower fails to pick up an allocated item then 3 days later the trap will be applied.

The trap is automatically lifted after the Reservation no show borrower trap expiry period, for example, when the Update Reservations scheduled task (UR) is run.

Reservation no show borrower trap

To specify the status to be set against a borrower who fails to pick up an allocated item:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Select an option for Reservation no show borrower trap.
3. Click Save or Save & Close.

Reservation no show borrower trap suspended period

To specify when the no show borrower trap is to be applied:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set a number of days in the Reservation no show borrower trap suspended period.
3. Press Tab or Enter, or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.

To specify when the no show borrower trap is removed from the borrower:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set a number of days in the Reservation no show borrower trap expiry period.
3. Press Tab or Enter, or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.
