To specify whether the default expiry period remains the same regardless of the number of reservations:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set Use fixed expiry period to Yes or No.

   No	The default expiry period increases with each reservation. For example, if the Expiry period for unallocated reservations is 183 days and there is already one reservation for the work then the default for a second reservation will be 183 x 2 = 376 days.
   Yes	The default expiry period for each reservation is the Expiry period for unallocated reservations specified in the reservations policy.

3. Click Save or Save & Close.
