Before you load records, you might wish to run a test to see what the result will be, for example, whether a record will be loaded as new or whether it will replace an existing record.

To test an upload:

1. Select the records you want to test.
2. Click Upload.
3. Click to select the load control you want, and then click Select.

The Uploading Records dialog is displayed, showing all the possible load statuses are listed (from 0 to 10). The statuses which are used in the test load will depend on the load control parameters.

4. Click Start Test Load. You will see the numbers against each status incrementing to show how many records have that particular status.
5. Click Finish Test Load when the test load is completed.

The results of the test are shown in the Status column. “T” means that the status is from a test load. (“L” would mean that the status is from a load.)

You might want to sort the records at this point to bring together the ones with similar statuses/errors. Click on the heading of the column you wish to sort by.
