The Authority Search page in the cataloguing menu is a search page for finding bibliographic authority records within your database. This search page will allow you to find authority records by using the authority heading, LC control number, tag, record type, thesaurus, encoding level, dates and usernames associated and by Boolean query.
Once a search has been made you will be able to see all forms of the authority term you have searched in a list. This can be used when many different variations of the term exist within your database as it will allow you to consolidate the authority terms into one narrow term. With these search results you are also able to create a savedlist or to further translate the set into works that are related to the term, into more narrow or more broad terms, and into preferred terms or non-preferred terms.
