If flexible bookings are active and you select a slot which spans the current time, then the booking will start from the current time and go for a period based on the number of slots selected. For example, if the time is 3:07pm and two 30 minutes slots are selected then a booking will be placed from 3:07pm to 4:07pm.

If flexible bookings are active then slots will display as "partially" taken if current bookings span only part of the slot time. A check box will be displayed within the slot so that the rest of the slot can be booked. For example if a 3:30 – 4:00pm slot is booked until 3:37pm then selecting the checkbox within the slot will place a booking from 3:37 pm to 4:07.

To specify whether flexible bookings are active:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set Flexible bookings active to Yes or No.
3. Click Save or Save & Close.

Null means the same as No.
