Minimum minutes for booking slot

Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the parent collection. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected collection. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.

If you're using "flexible" bookings then you'll want to set the minimum number of minutes remaining on a slot for it to be considered available.

For example, say that the Booking slot in minutes is set to 30, and the library is open from 2PM to 4:15PM.

If Booking slot minimum minutes is set to 10 then the slots run from 2:00 to 2:30, 2:30 to 3:00, 3:00 to 3:30, 3:30 to 4:00, and 4:00 to 4:15. The slot from 4:00 to 4:15 is available because 15 minutes is greater than 10.

If Booking slot minimum minutes is set to 20 then the slots run from 2:00 to 2:30, 2:30 to 3:00, 3:00 to 3:30, and 3:30 to 4:00. There is no slot from 4:00 to 4:15 because 15 minutes is less than 20.

To specify the minimum minutes for the booking slot:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Collections.
Select the collection you want from the list.
On the General tab, set either Booking slot minimum minutes.
Press Tab or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
Click Save or Save & Close.
