Delete a borrower category

You can’t delete a category if there are borrowers in the category or if it is used in the scope of a policy.

To delete a borrower category:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
Select the category that you want to delete from the list.
Click Delete, and then click Yes at the confirmation prompt.
Click Save or Save & Close. The category is only deleted when you save your changes.

Suspend a borrower category

Rather than delete a borrower category, you might prefer to suspend it. This means that it will no longer appear in any dropdown list of categories, for example in borrower registration or in policies. You can un-suspend the category later if you want to use it again. To suspend a borrower category:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
Select the category that you want to suspend from the list.
On the Details tab, click Suspend.
Click Save or Save & Close. The category is only suspended when you save your changes.
