The External section contains options related to the searching of other libraries (most usually by the z39.50 protocol). See the External Sites Editor for information on configuring libraries to allow searching.

Enable external search

If selected, borrowers will be able to perform an external search of other libraries' databases using z39.50. This provides an External option in the search menu.

Additional external search features

Unless otherwise mentioned, features below require server version 10.6.1 or higher.

Label to be shown in the header search bar and search pages for the external search option.

Advanced Search

The listed search fields in the External Search Advanced Search form able to either be shown, by checking the available box, or to be hidden, by un-checking the box.
