Issue title elements example: bimonthly serial with combined enumeration
    In This Topic

Let's set up the issue title elements for a bimonthly serial with combined enumeration. Looking at the issue in our hands we can see that the title is:

    2016 Issue 7/8

We can set up this title using three elements.

Let's set up these elements. Click here for a detailed description of each field.

    Element 1: year with century

The first element is the year, so we'll set Element type to "Cover date" and Date format to "Year with century". We've selected Add trailing space to suffix because we want a space between the first element and the second one.

    Element 2: issue number

We want the first issue number as element 2, so we'll set Element type to "Enumeration" and Display format to "Numeric".

We’ve set the Frequency to "Bimonthly" and the Increment to "2" since the issue number will increase by two every two months. We've also specified the Rollover frequency as "Annual", i.e. the number will rollover every year. We’ve specified the issue number for a particular two-month period in Element has the value ... For the date range.

We’ve specified the Prefix text to be displayed before the issue number and selected Add trailing space to prefix.

We've entered "/" as the Suffix text.

    Element 3: issue number

We want the second issue number as element 3, so we'll set Element type to "Enumeration" and Display format to "Numeric".
