The Cutoff period for minute loans is used to calculate the cutoff time if Allow overnight minute loans is set to No. For example, if closing time is 20:00 and the cutoff period is 15 minutes, then the cutoff time is 19:45.

For loans due to be returned just before closing time, the loan period is shortened so that the due time is set to the cutoff time. No loans are allowed after the cutoff time unless the time left is greater than the Minimum loan period.

To specify the cutoff period for minute loans:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.
2. Set the Cutoff period for minute loans.
3. Press Tab or Enter, or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.
