Use renewal overdue days limit defined in loan policy

To specify whether overdue loans can be renewed in OPAC and Self Service:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then General Parameters.

Set Use renewal overdue days limit defined in loan policy to Yes or No.

The loan is not renewed and the ITMOVD alert is displayed.

Yes

We look at the Renewal overdue days limit (OPAC) set in the loan policy.

If the loan is overdue for less than or the same number of days set in the limit then the loan is renewed and the ITMOVD alert is not displayed.

If the loan is overdue for more than the number of days set in the limit then the loan is not renewed and the ITMOVD alert is displayed.

Null means the same as No.

To be able to renew overdue loans in OPAC you must:

Set Use renewal overdue days limit defined in loan policy to Yes.
Specify a number of days in Renewal overdue days limit (OPAC) in the loan policy.
Set Block transaction in OPAC to No for the ISSVLDOVDS alert.
Set Block transaction in OPAC to Yes for the ITMOVD alert.
