The Period between failed login attempts before reset parameter determines how long (in minutes) must pass between failed password attempts for the attempted count to be reset. If less than the nominated period of time has passed, the failed attempts counter will increment upward toward the Maximum login attempts.

To set the Period between failed login attempts before reset:

1. Navigate to Maintenance > Circulation > General Parameters.
2. Set the Period between failed login attempts before reset (in minutes).
3. Click Save or Save & Close.

If null, then a default of 1440 minutes (24 hours) is used.
