To specify whether you see an alert when a borrower has a particular trap:

1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Traps.
2. Select the trap you want from the list.
3. Set the Trap parameters.
   • Trap on borrower activity. Set this to Yes to display an alert when borrower try to place a reservation, request, etc. (i.e. for circulation activity other then issues and renewals).
   • Trap on borrower validation. Set this to Yes to display an alert when the borrower’s barcode number is entered. This only applies in Circulation or at self-check terminals, not in OPAC.
   • Trap on branch transfer request. Set this to Yes to display an alert when borrowers place a branch transfer request.
   • Trap on issue/renewal. Set this to Yes to display an alert when borrowers try to borrow or renew an item.
   • Trap when offline. Set this to Yes if borrowers are to be trapped when you’re using Circulation offline.
4. Click Save or Save & Close.

Null means the same as No.
