On the Tools menu there is an option called Update 001/003. This is the counterpart to the Update 035 option. This will update/create the 001 and 003 tags with the data from the 035 tag.

You might typically use this option if you are exporting records back to the external source where you got them from in the first place.

Once you have opened a file of MARC records:

1. Click Update 001/003 on the Tools menu.
2. Enter the Control ID. If you do not specify the control ID then you will use the first 035 tag without a control ID.
3. Click OK.
