Remove support for stand-alone '*' in Quickfind

This feature requires a minimum server version:

    • 10.8.1
    • 10.7.3

To prevent performance degradation, support for standalone use of the asterisk character as a wildcard in Quickfind searches has been removed.

Asterisks may still be used combined with a partial search term, with some limitations:

Searching with a standalone asterisk will return an error.

If an asterisk is used where there are other criteria selected (e.g. if an OPAC header search runs a boolean query, if selecting Collection or Location in a form) the asterisk will be ignored and only the selected criteria applied.

These changes apply to both WBA and OPAC Quickfind searches.

Add RNI to search and output in Savedquery searches

This feature requires server version 10.8 or higher.

The Saved Query Search (Enquiry > Operations > Saved Query Search) now allows users to search on RNI (Record number).

Additionally, the RNI is now included in the full display of Saved Query records.

This RNI is used in URLs for 3rd parties e.g. OAI-PMH.

Add new option to SavedList search form

This feature requires server version 10.8 or higher.

SavedList searches (Enquiry > Operations > SavedList Search) may now be filtered on whether the list is Global, Local, or either (Any).

Allow Advanced Search to use global location and collection tables

This feature requires server version 10.8 or higher.

For libraries that are part of a consortium, the Advanced Search form (Enquiry > Search Holdings > Advanced Search) may use global locations and collections, allowing searches to be refined based on all locations and collections in the consortium.

Allow search for bibliographic records by descriptive cataloguing form

This feature requires server version 10.8.2 or higher.

To assist cataloguers in identifying brief records which require enhancement, bibliographic search forms now contain the Cataloguing form search field.

The selection of 'ISBD punctuation included' can be used to identify records created via worksheet entry.

Additionally, bibliographic records created via worksheets will now default the Encoding level to 'Minimal level'.

Site Specific fields are available in the borrower search form

This feature requires server version 10.8.2 or higher.

If a library is using site-specific fields to record information about borrowers, it is now possible to add those site-specific fields to the Borrower Search form. To add site-specific fields to:
