    Override OPAC filter

This specifies whether items in a particular collection are suppressed from OPAC. This can also be specified for a particular item and for a particular location. See Suppress items from OPAC for details.

    Catalogue Filters

You can add particular collections to catalogue filters. All bibliographic records are part of the GEN (Library Catalogue) filter, which is created when the database is commissioned by Spydus Support Staff. You may also want to make particular collections display as part of other filters, such as KIDS for the Kids catalogue and ARC for Archive records.

To add or delete a catalogue filter for a collection:

    1. From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Collections.
    2. Select the collection you want from the list.
    3. On the Filters tab, in the Catalogue Filters section, specify the catalogue filters you want.
      • Click Add to add a new filter.
      • Click Delete and then Yes at the confirmation prompt to delete a filter.
    4. Click Save or Save & Close.
Catalogue Filters are configured in the KCH lookup table, and can be maintained using the Table Manager.

    Global Catalogue Filters

Global Catalogue Filters operate similarly to Catalogue Filters, but apply only to global searches performed at the OPAC.

    2. Select the collection you want from the list.

Global Catalogue Filters are configured in the KCHG lookup table, and can be maintained using the Table Manager.
