Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the default borrower category. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected borrower category. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.
To specify the registration period for a borrower category:
- From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
- Select the category you want from the list.
- On the Details tab, set the registration parameters.
- The Registration period is added to the Registration start date to calculate the default expiry date in borrower registration. If you don’t specify the Registration start date then the Registration period will be added to the registration date to calculate the default expiry date.
- If you specify the Registration expiry date then the expiry date in the borrower registration will use this as the default. This overrides the Registration period and Registration start date (if they’re also specified).
- Click Save or Save & Close.
If there are membership periods set on the
Membership tab then these will override any
Registration period,
Registration start date and
Registration expiry date set on the
Details tab.
