When lost charges are cancelled at return attempt to delete
    In This Topic

If lost and lost processing charges are cancelled when an item is returned (whether automatically or by staff confirmation), the When lost charges are cancelled at return attempt to delete parameter can be set to permanently delete any cancelled charges.

Only charges that are unpaid may be deleted.

    • Partially paid charges may be waived or refunded, but not deleted
    • Full paid charges may only be refunded

Whether charges are cancelled, refunded, or neither is determined by depending on Cancel/Refund parameters

    1. Navigate to Maintenance > Circulation > General Parameters.
    2. Set the When lost charges are cancelled at return attempt to delete parameter as required.
      • Setting this parameter to No means that that when a lost item or lost processing charge is cancelled, it will remain linked to the borrower account as a cancelled charge
      • Setting this parameter to Yes means that that when a lost item or lost processing charge is cancelled, it will be deleted from Spydus
    3. Click Save or Save & Close.
Null means the same as No.
