Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the default borrower category. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected borrower category. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.
To specify whether circulation notices can be sent via email:
- From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
- Select the category you want from the list.
- On the Notice Settings tab, set Use email for notices.
- All means that we'll send notices via email to all borrowers in this category even if Email in not selected in their registration details.
- No means that we won't send notices via email.
- Yes means that we'll only send notices via email to borrowers who have Email selected in their registration details.
- Click Save or Save & Close.
Setting "All" here in the borrower category avoids having to select Email individually for each borrower.
- If Email is not selected in the registration details then the borrower's email address will be used.
- If Email is selected then we'll use whichever email address has been specified in the Use box, e.g. the employer's email address or the guarantor's email address.
Null means the same as No. |
