Use telephone interface for notices

Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the default borrower category. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected borrower category. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.
To specify whether circulation notices can be sent via email:
- From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
- Select the category you want from the list.
- On the Notice Settings tab, set Use telephone interface for notices.
- All means that we'll send notices via telephone to all borrowers in this category if they have a telephone number. If Phone is set to "Yes" or "Yes and email/mail" in the registration details then we'll use the telephone number specified in the Use box.
- No means that we won't send notices via telephone.
- Yes means that we'll only send notices via telephone to borrowers who have Phone is set to "Yes" or "Yes and email/mail" in the registration details .
- Click Save or Save & Close.
Setting "All" here in the borrower category avoids having to set Phone individually for each borrower. For example, as long as the Home phone is specified in the borrower’s registration details, notices will be transmitted via telephone if you set Use telephone interface for notices to "All" in their category.
Null means the same as No. |
