    2FA parameters for OPAC login
    In This Topic

This feature requires server version 10.8.2 or higher.

The 2FA general parameters allow libraries to decide which delivery methods are available for verification request codes for borrowers that have enabled two factor authentication, as well as the timeout period for verification codes.

To set the 2FA parameters for OPAC login:

    1. Navigate to MaintenanceCirculation  > General Parameters.
    2. Set the parameters as required:
      • Set Enable email verification code request for login to Yes to allow borrowers to send verification codes via email
      • Set Enable sms verification code request for login to Yes to allow borrowers to send verification codes via SMS
      • Set the Verification code timeout period (in minutes)
    3. Click Save or Save & Close.

Borrowers must also have the relevant contact detail (an email address or mobile phone number) listed in their registration details in order to receive a verification code by the nominated delivery method.

Null means the same as No.

To configure the messaging displayed for borrowers when generating a 2FA verification code at the OPAC, configure the Two-Factor Authentication parameters on the General tab of the HTML Configurator.

To configure the content of the email or SMS that the borrower receives with their verification code, configure the Borrower Verification Code section of the Communications tab of the HTML Email & Slips Configurator.
