Separator for call number prefix

Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the parent collection. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected collection. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.

To specify an overriding separator for the call number prefix for items in a particular collection:

From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Collections.
Select the collection you want from the list.
On the General tab, specify the Separator for call number prefix.
Press Tab or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
Click Save or Save & Close.

This will be used to separate the prefix and class number components of the call number. For example, you might set this to S for a space or NS for no space.
