This feature requires server version 10.8 or higher.

To set the renewal type used when a loan is renewed by a borrower via a self service interface (e.g. via SIP2 or LCF API);

1. Navigate to Maintenance > Circulation > General Parameters.
2. Select a Self service renewal type from the dropdown.
3. Click Save or Save & Close.

The renewal type may be used to determine how many times, and for how long, a loan may be renewed. See the Renewal Types tab in the applicable loan policy to configure.

The available options are configurable in the RWT lookup table in Table Manager.    If this parameter is not set, the renewal type 'In-Person' (IP) is applied.
