    Load controls
    In This Topic

Before you start loading records you’ll first set up the load controls. These determine what will happen when you load the records, for example, which tags to use for matching new records against existing ones, and whether to load records that match existing ones.

Default load controls for bibliographic records and authority records are supplied with the Cataloguing module.

    Add a "general" load control

Add an eresource load control. Use this type of load control for loading non-physical/digital materials that link to Digital Assets (DAs) in the library's database. Access to this material is through our Digital Asset Management (DAM) module.

Add a downloadable load control. Use this type of load control for loading electronic non-physical/digital materials that don't link to DAs in the library's database. Access to this material is through our eVendor interface.

Add an item load control. Use this type of load control when the records you're loading have holdings.

Copy, edit or delete a load control

The changes you make to a load control are made on the server and so will apply to everyone. If you want the load control to apply just for you then set up a specific load control.
