Processing charge for lost/damaged items set in borrower category

Select the checkbox to the left of a parameter to inherit the setting from the default borrower category. Clear this checkbox if you want to change the setting for the selected borrower category. You can also click Inherit All and Inherit None to inherit or disinherit the settings for all parameters.
To specify the processing charge to be applied to borrowers for lost or damaged items:
- From the Module Menu select Maintenance, Circulation and then Borrower Categories.
- Select the category you want from the list.
- On the Details tab, set one of the following.
- Processing charge for lost/damaged items as amount specifies the charge as an amount.
- Processing charge for lost/damaged items as percentage specifies the maximum as a percentage of the item’s value. For example, if this is 10% and the item’s value is $30 then the maximum overdue fine will be $3.
- Press Tab or click anywhere on the screen to enable the Save options.
- Click Save or Save & Close.
Be sure to include the lost item processing code on the Charges tab in the borrower category.
If you don't specifying a processing charge for lost/damaged items in the borrower category then the
Processing charge from the collection will be used instead.
