You can create new bibliographic records using a worksheet. Worksheets are available for books, newspaper articles, journal articles, manuscripts, maps, continuing resources, mixed materials, music and visual materials. Each worksheet will map the fields to the appropriate MARC tag in the saved record.
Collection filters for articles
Manuscripts. The option for manuscripts is on the Books sub menu since the entry is based on the BK bibliographic format.
Continuing resources. This is typically used for serials or for monographs in a series. You can create holdings for issuable items, groups or non-physical items. Normally the holdings for a serial would be a group with no barcode.
Maps uses the MP bibliographic format.
Mixed materials. The Content (336), Media (337) and Carrier (338) fields are multi-select, so by using Ctrl + Click or Shift + Click, multiple options can be added to the fields.
Music. This sub menu includes options for adding a music CD, printed music, talking books (cassettes) and talking books (CDs).
Visual material. This sub menu includes options for adding photographs, videocassettes and videodiscs (DVDs).
