    Change reservation tiles on 'My Account' dashboard labels

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Some changes have been made to the wording around reservations and their availability.

    Include 'Events' in an all resources Search

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Performing the All Resources search at the OPAC will now also return Event Session records.

    Event Sessions that have already passed will not be included in All Resources searches.

    Turn off ability to place a review from brief display (WPAC)

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Added the ability to enable (or disable) the Add Review button at the OPAC bibliographic record Brief Display. This option is found in the Maintenance > HTML Configurator > General tab > Brief Display section.

    Additional Configurator options for Online Registration

    Via the HTML Configurator, it is now possible to:

    Adding Registration Required on Events in brief display on WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Events that require registration to attend now indicate this requirement on the Event Brief Display at the OPAC.

    Ability to set default view (grid or list) for record brief display in WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    The HTML Configurator now allows library staff to choose whether OPAC search results are displayed - by default - in a list view or grid view.

    OPAC users may still toggle grid or list display at the OPAC by clicking the icon at the top of the Brief Display interface.

    Add ability to determine if bibliographic and article search options are grouped in the WPAC header search

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    The option to group Bibliographic searches and/or Article searches in the OPAC search dropdown has been added to the Search tab of the HTML Configurator.

    Allow users to add custom CSS via Configurator

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    A new tab has been added to the HTML Configurator to allow users to modify CSS styles not otherwise present in the Configurator, or to create user-defined styles that may be called in custom content.

    Add CAPTCHA codes into the WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Libraries may now enable CAPTCHA verification at the OPAC for login, online registration, password reset, and Event registration.

    Please contact Civica Support for assistance as commissioning is required.  

    Add an email confirmation field in OPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    An email address confirmation field has been added to the online borrower registration form. It is optional and may be added in the Register Online Parameters interface.

     
    WPAC: configure ERROR.xsl via Maintenance

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    The HTML Configurator now offers the option to configure the error page displayed in the OPAC when a search returns no results.

    Additional Advanced Search Options for 'Header advanced page'

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    The new Search tab in the HTML Configurator allows libraries to easily customise the Advanced Search forms at the OPAC. This includes setting the number of visible search fields, and showing or hiding filter tables.

    Additionally, clicking the Advanced Search link at the OPAC will now navigate to the Advanced Search form of the record type selected in the header search dropdown. e.g. If an Events search option is selected in the dropdown, the user will be taken to the Events Advanced Search. If a Bibliographic search option is selected, the user will be taken to the Library Catalogue Advanced Search.

     

    Location notes field to display on LOCX page on WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    An Additional Notes rich text editor has been added to the OPAC tab in Location parameters. These notes will be displayed at the Full Display of a Location record at the OPAC, under an Additional Information heading which may be enabled or disabled via Display Parameters.

     

    Generate password regex automatically based on the Circulation password rules

    The regular expression (regex) generated by Borrower Password Rules will now be automatically applied to password interfaces at the OPAC. This includes both setting the password at registration, and changing (or resetting) the password.

    Remove suppressed collections from the advanced search look up

    This feature is included as standard from Spydus 10.6.1. For previous Spydus versions, please contact Civica Support for assistance as commissioning is required.

    If the Suppress from OPAC parameter is selected in Collection parameters, then that Collection will not appear in the Collections lookup field in the Advanced Search form at the OPAC.

    OPAC Suppressed collections will still appear in Enquiry search forms.

    Ability to disable review information in Brief Display (WPAC)

    Bibliographic record Display Parameters now allow staff to disable the display of the Average Rating of a title at the record Brief Display in the OPAC.

    Allow spaces to be included in borrower passwords

    This feature requires a minimum server patch: 10.6.1, 10.5.4, 10.3.7, 10.2.10, 10.1.6.17, 10.1.5.19, 10.1.4.19, 10.1.3.26, 10.1.2.23

    If Borrower password rules allow non-alphanumeric characters (by selecting either Alphanumeric or Both alpha and numeric option), passwords may now include spaces. Spaces will also be considered a non-alphanumeric character if Must include non-alphanumeric characters is selected.

    In server versions prior to 10.6.1, the regular expression in Update Details Parameters and Register Online Parameters must be updated to reflect that spaces are allowed.

    e.g. the regular expression (within single quotes)  '^[-@./!$%#*& +\w]{13,256}$' allows:

    • the listed special characters ^[-@./!$%#*& +
    • with the \w operator, the numerals 0-9, and the characters a-z (both upper and lower case)
    • within the curly brackets, the minimum and maximum characters (minimum 13, maximum 256)

     Add Record Icon into WPAC for Large Print

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Titles identified as Large Print will have an icon displayed at the OPAC to indicate as such. This icon can be selected and changed in the HTML Configurator.

    Files with extension tif and tiff can now be displayed as image source in WPAC

    Previously, .TIF and .TIFF files would not be displayed as images, but offer a download link. These images will now display a thumbnail at the record Brief and Full Display, and offer the full image to be downloaded using the Access resource link.

    Parameterise the color of toggler, #toggleLogin and #toggleSearch

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Three new parameters have been added to the Navigation bar section of the CSS Styles tab of the HTML Configurator. These parameters allow users to customise the colour of some elements in the OPAC, specifically for viewing on mobile web browsers (not the Spydus Mobile borrower app). The styles are:

    Allow borrowers to search for Publisher Number, Other Standard Identifiers and all Standard Numbers via the WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    The Library Catalogue - Advanced search now allows visitors to search by Publisher Number, All Standard Numbers, and Other Standard Identifier.

    'Issues for this Title' should be the first container on the full record display for a serial

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    When viewing the Full Display of a bibliographic record for a serial title, the container populated with that title's issues will now appear directly below the Record details.

    WPAC: Allow collection filters to be defined to be used in the bibliographic search pages

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Library staff may add Collection filters using the Search tab of the HTML Configurator, allowing OPAC visitors to search within those filters by selecting the relevant Catalogue option. 

    Update WPAC display to support DA redevelopment

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    Digital Asset records that are not otherwise suppressed from displaying at the OPAC will be returned in an All Resources search. Other record types that are linked to Digital Asset records (Bibliographic records, Archival records etc) have also been appropriately updated.

    Add ability to download audio transcript in WPAC

    This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.  

    If a Digital Asset audio file has a linked text transcript, the transcript may be downloaded from the OPAC.

    Modify WPAC to display link from item record to online resource record

    This feature requires server version 10.6.2 or higher.

    If an Item record is linked to a Spydus Online Resource record (ERS), a link to the Online Resource (Access resource) will now be displayed at the OPAC at the Brief Display, Full Display, and Availability pop-up.

    Update the holdings display in WPAC for reservations awaiting pickup

    This feature requires server version 10.6.2 or higher.

    When a reservation is available for pickup at its pickup location, the OPAC holding description text will now read 'On reserve shelf at pickup location' where pickup location is the Location Name.
