You can use Circulation to issue, renew and return items and to register new borrowers while the Spydus Library System is offline.
Details of the staff members, borrower categories, borrower trap codes, location codes, item status codes, etc. are downloaded to the PCs each morning. Then, if the library goes offline during the day, you can continue issuing, renewing and returning items, and registering borrowers. When the library system comes back online, simply recover the offline transactions from the PC.
You might also use Circulation Offline in a mobile library. For example, you might download details to your PC in the morning, record the issues, renewals and returns during the day, and then recover these transactions in the evening.
