Add "Include 'Available' count" to HTML Configurator

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

The Availability section of the HTML Configurator allows library staff to configure the display of copy availability for Bibliographic and Archive records at the OPAC.

Allow a borrower's Postal delivery flag to be updated using Bulk Change utility

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

Postal delivery flag (BDV.POSTDLV) has been added as a Field in the Borrower Details (BRWD) Format in the Bulk Change Utility. This will support libraries who want to introduce a postal delivery/home delivery service. 

Add unsubscribe from marketing material parameters

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

If communications are flagged as marketing messages (by checking the This is a marketing message option when composing the email), borrowers will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from receiving marketing materials. Clicking the unsubscribe link in these communications will un-check the Receive marketing flag on a borrower's record, meaning that any future messages flagged as marketing will not be delivered to the borrower.

Spydus allows library staff to set;

• the Unsubscribe link title, which is the text of the link that borrowers can click to unsubscribe (Maintenance > General > HTML Email & Slips Configurator > General tab > Email section),
• the Successful Unsubscribe Message, which is the confirmation text when the unsubscribe request is processed (Maintenance > OPAC & Enquiry > HTML Configurator > General tab > Marketing section)

 Add inactive borrower notice type to borrower category maintenance

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

A new notice type has been added to notify borrowers that their account has been inactive for a specified period of time. The Period is the number of days since borrower activity. The notice period uses the BLA.ACTDTE value to calculate this.

New Circulation parameters to support de-linking of transaction history

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

Two new parameters have been added to allow libraries to control if, and after how long, borrower transaction history will be de-linked from their account.

• Borrower de-linking mode - If set to '1', only borrowers who have nominated to have their transaction history de-linked will be processed. If set to '2', all borrowers will be processed.
• Borrower de-linking retention period - The number of days transactions will remain linked to a borrower's account after they are completed.

Provide notification when a container has been copied

In Maintenance > OPAC & Enquiry > Container Parameters, when a container is selected and the Copy button clicked, a pop-up notification will advise that the container has been successfully copied.

Configure 'To' and 'From' locations to display on in-transit slips

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

In the Staff section on the Circulation tab of the HTML Email & Slips Configurator, it is now possible to enable the display of the In Transit From & To locations on Item in-transit and Reservation in-transit slips.

For both the Intransit items and Reservation items (intransit) slips, set the Add intransit to location to header flag as required.

Set default classification scheme for new items

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

The default classification scheme to be used when a new item is created can now be set in the Call Number section of Item Maintenance Parameters. This new parameter will default to Dewey Decimal Classification.  

Update User Accounts & User Groups pages

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

The Role section has been removed from the User Accounts page (as Widget roles are set on the User Group), and the User Group section has been replaced with a dropdown User Group field in the User Record section.

Additionally, the Roles section of the User Group page has been expanded to allow the display of more Widget roles assigned to the group.

Choose default sorting for OPAC search results 

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

The Search tab of the HTML Configurator now allows library staff to choose the default sort order of search results. Each search type (Bibliographic, Archives, etc) may have the sorting selected independently.

Add default Image URL for Facebook shares

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

The Image URL for Facebook shares parameter has been added to the Sharing section on the General tab of the HTML Configurator.

If a URL is set in this field, when using the facebook share option from a record Full Display at the OPAC and the record does not have an existing thumbnail, the Image URL for Facebook shares will be used in the facebook post.

If no URL is set and the record does not have an existing thumbnail, the Header logo URL will be used.

Configure event postponed notice

This feature requires server version 10.9 or higher.

If an Event or Event Session is set to the Postponed status, an Event/Session Postponed notice will be triggered to any registered attendees. The content of these notices can be customised on the Events tab of the HTML Email & Slips Configurator.

Add ability to edit home page description to HTML Configurator 

It is now possible to edit the Home Page Description via the HTML Configurator. The description will be added to the html meta tag for all OPAC pages and may be displayed in internet search results.

Rename Payment Mode Parameters to Payment Parameters

This feature requires server version 10.5.1 or higher.

As it contains additional configurable parameters related to payment, the Payment Mode Parameters page has been renamed Payment Parameters.

Remove deprecated references to Digital Assets (Blis)

This feature requires server version 10.6.1 or higher.

From Spydus 10.6, the external Digital Assets module was integrated as part of the Electronic Resource Management (ERM) module. References to the deprecated module have been removed from:

• the Privileges section of User Group Maintenance
• the Privilege Manager
